While many alarm systems are still connected via telephone lines, technology has made this method much less reliable than ever before.

Old fashioned telephone service is evolving to digital Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and many of the existing alarm systems do not successfully communicate into the alarm central office, using VoIP.

The installers that work for the telephone service providers are ill-trained and often fail to properly connect the alarms back into the new phone service network, whenever they service your phone system.

This is particularly the case with AT&T U-Verse.

We strongly advise you to have your phone service provider test your alarm system with you before they leave your property during any visit they make to service your phones or Internet!
Better yet, switch your monitoring service over to a long range radio communicator which is independent of your local telephone network. Our cellular radios provide further protection from cut telephone lines or power failures that would otherwise prevent the alarm system from contacting us.
